What we measure
Every figure on this site is computed from our own reads of exchange trades, order books and onchain swaps, with foreign exchange from Kraken. The headline price of a coin is the volume-weighted average on exchanges when it trades on one; the onchain price is shown beside it.
Outliers and thin markets
A trade more than 3% from the preceding hour’s median is excluded. A day with under £1,000 of volume is measured but never counted as a peg breach.

Calculation versions are stamped on every API response and listed here when they change.
